About the Role:
Parsons Corporation seeks a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager - Design to contribute to the groundbreaking NEOM THE LINE project. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of safety principles, risk assessment techniques, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in implementing safety programs for large-scale design projects and ensuring a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Program Development:
Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs for the design phase of the project, aligning with NEOM’s safety standards and international best practices.
Establish safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all design team members.
Risk Assessment and Management:
Conduct thorough hazard identification and risk assessments for design activities.
Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies to minimize safety hazards.
Monitor and control safety risks throughout the design phase.
Design Safety Reviews:
Review design documents to identify potential safety hazards and recommend design modifications to enhance safety.
Conduct safety reviews of design change requests to ensure they do not compromise safety.
Safety Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver safety training programs for design team members, covering topics such as hazard recognition, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.
Promote a strong safety culture and encourage proactive safety behaviors.
Incident Investigation and Reporting:
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, codes, and standards.
Stay updated on the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in safety management, with a strong focus on design engineering projects.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification.
In-depth knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
