Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Manages multiple contractors and vendors, including the solicitation and review of proposals. Participate in the selection of contractors and service providers while ensuring adherence and compliance with NEOM strategy, policy, departmental goals and commitments.
- Coordinates with the client, subcontractors, and suppliers during the project execution from idea inception to project handover.
- Oversees establishment of the Construction Management Plan, Site Specific Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents, as required.
- Supervise the work of contractors and subcontractors.
- Create, reviews, and edits contract scopes of work, amendments, and task orders, as required.
- Provides input to contractors’ safety plans and quality control plans.
- Ensure the subcontract files are maintained with current insurance certificates and correspondence. Monitor subcontractor expenses versus budget. Prepare draft amendments.
- Ensure the prime contract file is maintained current with insurance certificates and correspondence.
- Works to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
- Provides input for maintaining current and timely change/variation orders.
- Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) oversight for contractor safety and emergency procedures and inspect the construction site weekly with the contractor's safety representative.
- Analyze, summarize, and interpret data; make appropriate recommendations related to document management, write reports, and give oral presentations, as required.
- Participate in meetings and communicating updates and prepare periodic construction management reports to peers and leadership.
- Additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in construction management and providing excellent customer service.
- Previous experience in the development, implementation, and construction of Facilities across large construction sites.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to provide step-by-step detailed advice and solutions for remedying failures in service delivery.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, Google Suite and Facility Management Software.
- Team player with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
- Professional maturity and irreproachable integrity are obligatory.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to articulate clearly and concisely.
- English proficiency is required (both written and oral).
Qualifications
- Minimum twenty (20) years of experience managing construction and/or facility management projects, delivery experience for large projects, overseas and / or military facilities, of which at least 5 years in the delivery teams (including ‘Built Asset’ projects);
- Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject;
