Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Lead Landscape Architect to join our team! In this role you will have the opportunity for the overall supervision of the landscape architecture design for a major metro/rail project in United Arab Emirates.
What You'll be Doing:
Lead the design of both hard and soft landscapes for architectural and urban design projects.
Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that are functional, aesthetically appealing, code-compliant, and completed on time and within budget.
Collaborate with internal design groups and external landscape consultants to create sustainable landscape solutions.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy, effectively utilizing staff and resources to provide top-quality service to clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, meet project financial targets, and ensure the project team consistently delivers exceptional client service.
Conduct research and provide guidance on indigenous and suitable vegetation for projects.
Manage design teams to ensure thorough research into project-specific landscape design challenges.
Ensure full compliance with company procedures and local landscape architectural standards.
Performs a variety of assignments such as conducting landscape architectural studies, developing design concepts and design criteria, and preparing related reports. Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
Develops design solutions and prepares high quality presentation drawings, renderings, 3D models and animations with the assistance of other team members.
Provides technical guidance to CADD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
Prepares technical packages from concept design, through detailed design to tender and contract documentation.
Completes other duties as assigned.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited University.
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in landscape architecture design for public realm, roadways, public parks, planning and infrastructure projects, preferably worked for metro/rail project in the GCC.
Shall be a self-motivated individual who is able to take responsibility and demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks with strong hand graphic and design skills.
Proficient in Adobe Indesign is required.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Land F/X, Lumion and Illustrator.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to write technical documents and correspondence effectively.
Licensed Landscape Architect (active status) is preferred.
