Job Description:
Parsons is looking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our metro construction project team in UAE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in guiding and supporting project teams in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the project lifecycle. The position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You will ensure risk management practices are integrated into project planning and execution to minimize potential disruptions and ensure project success.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide expert guidance and specialized assistance to project teams for resolving complex risk issues.
Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential risks associated with design, construction changes, and schedule delays.
Facilitate risk workshops to engage stakeholders in the risk identification process.
Prioritize risk response requirements and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
Formulate and quantify cost and time provisions for residual risk impacts post-response.
Ensure that identified risk responses are effectively implemented and controlled.
Continuously monitor changes in risk exposure and identify new risks as they arise.
Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring accurate documentation of all identified risks and responses.
Prepare and present regular statistical reports to clients and stakeholders, providing clear insights into risk status and mitigation efforts.
Interface with clients and key stakeholders, attending regular meetings to discuss risk management activities.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication regarding risk management practices.
Make informal or formal presentations as required to communicate risk management strategies and outcomes.
Perform other duties related to risk management as required to support the successful delivery of projects.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience including 5+ years of experience as Risk Manager on large scale infrastructure projects (preferably metro, rail, or transport)
Experience in the application of Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran Risk, and/or Active Risk Management (ARM)
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in risk management.
