Job Description:
Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing project controls functions, including planning, scheduling, document control, and risk management for a major Metro/Rail project in the United Arab Emirates.
What You'll Be Doing:
Develop and implement project controls systems and procedures.
Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules, including critical path analysis.
Review contractors delay and EOT claims including critical path analysis and prepare detailed reports advising the client on their risks and mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress and performance against established baselines.
Manage project budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting.
Identify and analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Prepare regular project status reports and presentations for senior management.
Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance to project for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems.
Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports.
Manages a team of Project Control Engineers/Specialists who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs, as well as performance against an established schedule with critical milestones.
Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule delays.
Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
Provide training and support to project team members on project controls tools and techniques.
Oversees the development and maintenance of an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed.
Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls, ideally within large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, with prior Metro rail project experience highly desirable.
Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and other relevant tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
PMP or similar certification is preferred.
