Responsibilities:
Complete the DOT logbook according to regulations to maintain compliance and accuracy in reporting.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections per DOT standards at the start of each shift to ensure operational safety and reliability.
Report any vehicle problems or defects immediately to the supervisor to address issues proactively and maintain safety.
Fill out billing forms and issue receipts for payments as required, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
Operate the assigned vehicle with caution, adhering to safe driving practices, including proper parking, backing up, and refraining from turning right on red.
Respond promptly to assigned calls, prioritizing timely completion to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure the safety of all vehicle occupants by utilizing appropriate restraints, maintaining a secure environment during transport.
Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, both inside and out, to promote a professional appearance and enhance overall customer experience.
Must maintain NYS 19A education and testing requirements and random drug and alcohol testing for level of CDL
Ability to render professional driving and customer service
Frequent contact with patients, families, physician office staff, hospital staff and fellow employees
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Must have at minimum a valid CDL class `C' driver's license with Passenger Endorsement within 30 days of hire.
