Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Commercial Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to oversee all contract activity for a Division, a major market segment, or for a major project. Travel to the client’s offices or to the project site may be required, either before the contract receives final approval or during the life of the contract.
What You'll Be Doing:
Project start up, implementation of procurement, commercial and contractual procedures and protocols.
Interaction with the project team, client, consultants, contractors, etc. as required, in respect of financial and contractual matters.
Prepare, review, update and advise on client budgets and estimates for consultant services and/or construction works.
Procurement of consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc. including pre-qualification, tender analysis, tender reports and recommendations, etc.
Preparation and/or review of tender and contract documentation in co-ordination with project team for consultants, contractors’ suppliers, etc.
Review all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, etc. for compliance with the relevant terms and conditions of the contract, are maintained and updated.
Administration and/or monitoring of new and on-going contracts for consultants and contractors and providing advice to the project team.
Prepare correspondence and maintain records and logs for variations, claims, etc. necessary to ensure the effective administration of all financial and contractual matters.
Review of contractual notices of all types of claims and providing contractual advice to the project delivery teams.
Review and/or evaluate variations, new rates, etc. submitted by consultants and contractors, prepare change requests, prepare instructions and variation orders.
Assist in the review of consultants and contractors claims in accordance with the provisions of the contract and ensures the client’s interests are protected.
Facilitate the contract close-out procedures to ensure that all terms and conditions of contracts have been complied with prior to final payment to contractor/consultant.
Assist in the preparation of cost and monthly progress and any ad-hoc reports as required by the client.
Attend and/or chair commercial meetings and attend design meetings, progress meetings, workshops, etc. as required.
Any other duties assigned by the lead commercial manager/director.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 15+ years experience required in contracts administration/management on infrastructure and building projects.
Experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, project management and construction supervision services.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required.
Working knowledge of software typically associated with quantity surveying and contract administration.
