We are currently seeking a RAM & Safety Expert to work on a dedicated APM expansion project here in the KSA, a project that will have a long-lasting impact on the local community.
Parsons System Engineers work in a multi-disciplinary environment to perform a variety of engineering tasks related to the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. The role may include working with Stakeholders in the development of RAM and Safety specifications, requirements, plans, and analyses for the design, development, test, and commissioning and certification of such systems. You must be organized and effective in communicating plans, requirements, results, and information to customers at a variety of management levels and technical backgrounds.
In this role you will get to provide technical leadership and direction for various phases of a significant rail and transit programs to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.
What You'll Be Doing:
As required, act as the company representative and team leader with the Client during the APM program execution.
Ensures adherence to all corporate, contractual, ethics and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure adhere to relevant industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols. Supervise necessary permits and approvals required from relevant authorities.
Establish quality standards for rail and transit projects. Conduct periodic inspections to ensure work meets established standards and specifications.
Leads technical excellence on the project, including furtherance of the Quality improvement processes of the client and Parsons.
Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
Participate in discussion with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
Oversees establishment of Project Management Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
Works with the key project staff, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work.
Completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Chartered Engineer status is ideal.
15+ years related professional experience
Practiced the application and development of RAM and Safety analyses following the EN-50126 suite of standards, as well as other standards such as MIL-STD-882.
Establishes a RAM organization and processes that meet the requirements of EN 50126.
Familiar with working according to the requirements of the ISO/IEC/IEEE-15288 System Engineering Standard
Experience with Requirements Management Tools for managing RAM and Safety Requirements
Maintains the RAM Management plan.
Controls the RAM analysis of the suppliers.
Ensures that the concatenation of the RAM objectives of the elements of the system allows the objectives of the integrated whole to be respected.
Manages the process of demonstrating the RAM objectives of the specified systems by monitoring the indicators of achievement of the RAM objectives of the systems during the warranty periods, and by driving the reliability growth activity.
Experience of working on CBTC Signalling & Train Control Systems
Must demonstrate sound knowledge of Safety Assurance and Regulatory Compliance.
Automated People Mover (APM) implementation experience is preferred.
GCC experience is preferred.
Must have experience in Client Interfacing roles.
Must understand the requirements of an airfield for construction and operation.
