Sr. Storage AnalystOperations & TechnologyPatches and Vulnerabilities Puerto Rico General Responsibilities Responsible for managing backup and storage environments, which may include: incorporating disk, tape, SAN, backup and storage software's, resolving storage short falls, alerting and resolving performance issues and advising end users. Work on evaluation, planning and remediation of vulnerabilities through changes in configuration or patching. Gives support to the applications working with the developers to determine storage requirements and with existing programmers and system administrators to optimize storage. Monitor, maintain and support of storage and backup infrastructure (DISK, SANs, VTS, NAS, and TAPE LIBRARIES). Assign additional resources in accordance to previously defined processes. Provide support for problems related to storage and backup infrastructure, including malfunctions, vendor support, technical problems in problem determination and possible solutions. Perform planned changes, restores, assignments and modifications of storage and backup infrastructure. Assist senior personnel on complex restore and assignments processes. Coordinate communication and support with storage and backup infrastructure equipment providers for patching, upgrades, vulnerability management and replacements. Install, implement, and administer backup and recovery packages and/or new storage infrastructure. Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable. Education and Experience RequiredBachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or IT related bachelor's degree.Around five (5) to ten (10) years' experience in related field. Knowledge and Skills Required Backup and storage knowledge required. Patching and vulnerabilities remediation experience. Knowledge on Hardware: Veritas Flex Appliances and EMC PowerProtect DD family. Knowledge on Software: Veritas Netbackup Knowledge of storage best practices, data retention policies and recovery strategies. Previous experience working with storage, backup, recovery infrastructure and software's . Previous experience working in IT Projects is a plus. Knowledge on implementation and administration of backup, recovery packages and tools. Demonstrated experience on process documentation. Excellent communications skills both written and oral in English and Spanish. Good Strategic and Analytical thinking.
