Role Title : Localization Program Manager

Pay Range: $ 61.76-$ 79.98 Per Hour
Project Overview:
Globally recognized brand, and the Localization team ensures that 's ideas and products look, feel, and sound natural to users worldwide. This team collaborates with international Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to navigate the localization process, ensuring successful product launches in various regions. The team thrives in a fast-paced, culturally diverse environment, where building relationships with partner teams is crucial to establish needs, deadlines, and budgets. As a Program Manager, you will apply your project management skills to ensure the localization process is effective and efficient.
Overall Responsibilities:
As a Program Manager in the Localization team, you will help guide ideas and products to feel natural for users worldwide. Whether working on consumer products (such as Gmail, Search, Maps, Android, Play, or YouTube) or business products (like AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, or Analytics), you will drive the localization process to ensure successful global launches. This role involves coordinating across offices, time zones, and hemispheres, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on progress and deadlines. With your influence and relationship-building skills, you will provide strategic insight to cross-functional teams and leadership, helping to expand 's products globally. You will collaborate with teams from Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Finance.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Lead the localization of products: Manage the end-to-end localization process, including delivery, cost, and quality. Oversee vendor execution and ensure successful launches.
Build relationships and advise product teams: Educate and advise teams on their localization journey, while representing the voice of global users. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand top business needs related to localization and local insights.
Manage localization budget: Oversee the product's localization budget, from understanding the product's roadmap for annual planning to advising on budget optimization.
Additional Responsibilities:
Understand Localization workflows and services, identify process/tool needs to enable scaling, and collaborate with Operations and Engineering to support deployment.
Build business cases for new opportunities (e.g., product language expansion, business development, or localization process improvements).
Develop recommendations, drive implementation, and package your work into presentations for senior executives.
Mandatory Skills/Qualifications:
Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience: At least 3 years of localization experience, working across cross-functional teams.
Non-Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, global environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent business judgment.
Ability to craft and present strategic plans to senior decision-makers.
Exceptional communication, consulting, and client-facing skills, with a proven ability to adapt messages to different audiences, including technical and senior executives.
