L3Harris Space Superiority group has an opening for a Senior Specialist, Integration & Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.
This position will support the test effort for development of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations center from program inception to test verification and deployment. The Lead Integration & Test Engineer will define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities while working with a team comprised of multiple internal organizations and subcontractors for the full integration and test of the mission system. The test engineer will be a point-of-contact for the government customer for test planning and will coordinate across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan.
Essential Functions:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers supporting production environments and mission-critical clusters.
Manage and maintain Linux-based applications, ensuring operational efficiency and system availability.
Oversee Kubernetes clusters, including node and pod monitoring, to ensure optimal data flow across mission systems.
Deploy mission software updates into Kubernetes environments, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system anomalies, ensuring quick resolution and continuity of operations.
Administer and monitor databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Provide on-call operational support, including during non-standard working hours, to address urgent system needs.
Work with and influence system engineering & design on architecture(s) and interfaces to optimize & include test capabilities early in the development life cycle.
Able to work with systems and design engineering to identify requirements that will satisfy testing requirements, as well as reuse options.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
9 years with test or systems experience in agile environment.
Active Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Strong collaborative abilities, with proven experience leading cross-functional teams in both civilian and defense settings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks in high-pressure environments, particularly during troubleshooting or anomaly resolution.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, SQL, and collaboration tools such as Git, Jenkins or GitLab.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including hands-on experience with VMware networks and environments.
DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) utilizing MagicDraw
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $189,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
