We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Paint Hangar Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of our aircraft paint hangar operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of aircraft paint processes, materials, and equipment, as well as the ability to manage a skilled workforce and coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and high-quality paint services. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong understanding of safety and quality standards, and the ability to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Specific Knowledge Requirements:
Knowledge of all aspects of the paint hangar facility, ensuring efficient and effective operations
Information on materials such as:
Paint Removal Products
Primer & Paint products
Thinner & Solvent products
Anticipated volume required on each per aircraft
On-site storage of corrosive and flammable paint materials
Design and operation of a Paint Mixing room
Ventilation airflow requirements
Direction of airflow, i.e. cross-flow or down-draft
Velocity of air within the paint bay
Number of painters required for large, medium, and small aircraft
Equipment and tooling requirements
Initial layout requirements of spaces outside the spray booth
Determining if the workflow is appropriate for the intended operation
Review of materials and equipment such as storage tanks, mixing equipment, etc.
Provide guidance / assistance with required EPA permits
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the paint hangar facility, ensuring efficient and effective operations
Develop and coordinate employees and resources to meet schedule demands, optimizing workforce capabilities
Manage the paint hangar schedule, identifying potential conflicts between multiple programs, and deconflicting paint events through clear and concise communication with Program and Operations leadership
Collaborate with the Business Development team on all paint requirements to support new and ongoing projects
Assess customers' needs and deliver quality services to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree and typically 10+ years of relevant experience that includes the knowledge requirements listed
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Proven experience in managing an aircraft paint hangar facility or similar environment
Extensive knowledge of aircraft paint materials, processes, quality controls, and equipment
Strong understanding of Government and Commercial publications and documents related to aircraft paint
Ability to interpret complex paint requirements and schemes from various customer drawings
Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage schedules and customer expectations effectively
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards, including reducing hazardous exposures
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and departments to achieve common goals
The ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET U.S. security clearance is required
