Nightwing is looking for a talented and experienced Windows System Administrator with networking skills to join our corporate IT team. This role is critical in maintaining the supporting infrastructure for our Building Access Control System. As a Windows System Administrator, you will have hands-on experience with Windows (Desktop and Server editions), supporting networks with IPSEC tunneling, on-prem virtualization, Microsoft SQL Server, SANs, and ensuring compliance with security frameworks and internal policies. Job Requires TS/SCI Clearance on day 1 of employment Key Responsibilities: Windows System Administration: Deploy, harden, and maintain Windows 11 and Windows Server environments. Active Directory & Group Policy Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GPO). System Hardening: Implement and enforce hardened system configurations across all workstations, servers, network appliances, and installed software utilizing industry standard hardening guides (DISA STIG, CIS Benchmarks). Apply, monitor, and document hardening steps for all systems. Patching & Updates: Utilize Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) to manage patching and updates for Windows clients and servers to ensure systems are up-to-date. Networking: Maintain network configurations, manage firewalls, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Implement and support IPSEC tunneling for secure communications between sites. Virtualization Management: Manage and support on-premises virtualization environments (Hyper-V / VMware), including the deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of virtual machines and resources. SAN Storage Management: Administer and support SAN storage solutions, managing storage allocation, data integrity, and ensuring high availability. Microsoft SQL Server Administration: Install, configure, and manage Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring high availability and backup management. Backup & Disaster Recovery: Ensure that backup systems and disaster recovery plans are in place, testing and updating as necessary. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all systems and processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external security policies/frameworks. Self-Starter: Ability to act autonomously as an individual contributor by prioritizing your work within guidelines and leveraging direction provided by your supervisor. The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
