Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of a robust data mesh architecture on AWS, integrating domain-specific data sources like Workday, Deltek, ADP, and Alight. Take ownership of building and optimizing data pipelines using SnapLogic and other relevant tools, ensuring seamless data flow across the organization. Collaborate closely with domain teams to understand their evolving data needs and empower them to manage their own data products. Leverage AWS services to build and maintain a scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platform. Enable advanced machine learning initiatives by providing clean, reliable, and well-structured data. Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and data quality issues. Embrace a learning mindset and stay ahead of the curve in data engineering and cloud technologies, sharing knowledge with the team. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Specialist or in a related role. 2+ years of experience with the backend of an ERP tool. Proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with data modeling and schema design. Experience building and using document and relational databases for production usage Strong programming skills in Python and other high-level languages. Hands-on experience with data integration tools (ideally SnapLogic) and ETL processes. Experience creating data visualizations using tools like Tableau and PowerBI. Deep familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based data architectures. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects. Preferred Skills: Solid understanding of data mesh principles and domain-driven design. Experience with machine learning concepts and data preparation for AI/ML. Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy best practices. Knowledge of Cybersecurity principles, practices, and operations Experience participating in Agile environments and SDLC (Software development lifecycle) Exposure to M365 and Azure environments. Experience mentoring or leading junior data engineers. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or a related field. The salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 142,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
