The Role: We are building our data infrastructure from the ground up, embracing a data mesh paradigm and leveraging the power of AWS. We are looking for a Data Scientist with 3+ years of experience who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities while also being hands-on. Responsibilities: Optimize and automate reports that provide insights into key business metrics, improving operational efficiency and decision-making Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify reporting needs and ensure data is structured to deliver clear, actionable insights Own the development and optimization of data pipelines to ensure seamless flow of clean, reliable data for reporting and analysis Leverage AWS services to build a scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platform Provide ongoing analysis of business performance metrics, identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that data reports align with business objectives and help drive data-driven decisions Stay ahead of trends in data science and machine learning technologies, continuously learning and sharing knowledge with your team Mentor and provide leadership to junior data scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, with a proven track record in data architecture and machine learning Strong foundational understanding of forecasting models and their applications in real-world data Hands-on experience with data integration tools and data transformation (ETL) processes Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and R Expertise in building data pipelines and automating reporting processes Experience using data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI to communicate business insights Deep familiarity with AWS cloud technologies and building scalable data platforms Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams A strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Skills: Knowledge of data mesh principles and domain-driven design Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field preferred Experience with machine learning concepts and data preparation for ML models Familiarity with data governance, security, and privacy best practices Experience working in Agile environments and understanding the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) Exposure to M365 and Azure environments Leadership experience, including mentoring junior team members. The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
