Description and Requirements
Maximus is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer who focuses on building and maintaining AWS infrastructure for DoD applications, emphasizing scalability, security, and performance. This engineer will collaborate with various teams to enhance cloud configurations and automate processes, playing a vital role in optimizing DoDs cloud-based operations.
This position is contingent upon award.
Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS021, T3, Band 6
Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructures for DoD applications.
Implement security measures, automate operations, and use CI/CD tools.
Collaborate with teams to optimize AWS network and storage configurations.
Develop scripts for automating network configurations and security compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance required
Bachelors degree in a related field or 5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering.
Extensive experience with AWS services and infrastructure management.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools.
Strong knowledge of scripting languages, cloud security principles and practices and Kubernetes.
IAT Level II
Must have AWS certifications or trainings in at least one of the following certifications. 3 years of proven relevant experience may be substituted for each certification.
AWS Cloud Practitioner certification or training
AWS SysOps Administrator certification or training
AWS DevOps Engineer certification or training

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
