Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

About the Company:
Our client, a prominent medical equipment company recently relocated to Haslet, TX, is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to oversee and optimize the company's supply chain. This role is essential to ensuring that all fulfillment operations remain on schedule and comply with applicable regulations while maximizing profitability and efficiency.
Position Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supply chain, including preparation, transportation, and delivery. This role's primary goals are to streamline logistics processes and ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor or Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Logistics Coordinator will ensure seamless supply chain operations that align with the company's objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Travel to company warehouses and inventory outlets to assess and optimize operations.
Analyze current logistics processes and implement improvements to maximize efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations for shipping and logistics.
Oversee material acquisition, including the procurement of raw materials.
Day-to-Day Duties:
Negotiate terms with suppliers, retailers, and delivery operators to secure optimal rates and service.
Maintain regular communication with customers to assess and meet their supply needs.
Coordinate inventory allocation to maintain optimal warehouse capacity levels.
Manage and schedule shipments, allocating personnel as needed for efficient and profitable delivery.
Promptly address and resolve any issues with shipments or inventory.
Process freight claims and billing to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Education Requirements:
Associate degree preferred
1-2 years of experience in a logistics support role
Proficiency in logistics software, such as RFID (radio-frequency identification) systems
Essential Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation abilities
Customer service orientation
High level of organization and attention to detail
Effective problem-solving skills
