L3 Harris is actively seeking a Senior Associate, Contracts for a direct hire opportunity for our location in Greenville, TX. We do offer competitive wages with benefits and offer a generous relocation package.
This position in the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sector of the (IMS) Integrated Mission Systems Segment will join a Contracts team responsible for a diverse business area, with defense customers from various USG Departments and Agencies, various foreign governments, as well as large and small business prime contractors.
This job administers, extends, negotiates, and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.
Essential Functions:
Preparing contractual letters, Terms & Conditions, Representations & Certifications for proposals to the U.S. Government and other DoD Contractors
Providing audit and fact-finding support for major proposals
Administering and closing contracts
Compiling information and reports
Interpreting contract requirements and track contractual performance to the requirements
Working with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution
Serving as the primary liaison for contractual communications between L3Harris and our customers
Conducting change management processes with internal team and communicating equitable adjustment rights to customers
Assists in proposing and negotiating contracts for the company's products and services in prime and subcontracting environments.
Ensuring compliance with federal procurement regulatory requirements
Assisting procurement personnel with significant contracting tasks, including establishing flow-down terms and conditions.
Utilizes knowledge of regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.
Influencing successful business outcomes to achieve business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income and free cash flow for new and continuing programs.
Providing guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support level employees.
Demonstrated professional maturity and confidence in expressing a point of view with senior management
Must possess strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in data and documents, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality in all work outputs.
Performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance, which requires US citizenship.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize appropriately
Demonstrated strong communication (verbal and written), organization, negotiation skills, and management skills
Demonstrated strong computer skills including MS office applications (strong Excel and Word skills).
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret contracts and statements of work
Preferred Skills (beyond required):
Experience working with Defense programs, FAR/DFARS, and TINA
Secret Clearance
Proficiency in utilizing and interpreting financial models and analyses
Ability to constructively challenge others and take a robust stance when required to promote or defend the company's position.
Self-motivating and able to manage multiple contracts with minimal assistance from others.
Excellent people skills with a positive attitude, able to collaborate in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team environment.
