MUST HAVE:
Machining / Manufacturing experience required
Proficient with Mastercam - SolidWorks preferred
Position Summary:
This is a skilled support role which supports both engineering, prototype, and production tooling requirements . This position requires a master machinist skillset that is capable of independent work to solve manufacturing issues as well as collaboration with other departments and disciplines to support company need across a wide array of tasks.
We are offering a sign on bonus of $2,000 for this position. - Discretion of the company / DOE
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operation of various manual and CNC equipment such as CNC lathes, milling and drilling machines, grinders and secondary process equipment to machine or fabricate components for prototype and/or tooling builds.
CNC programming as well and manual machining practices.
Ability to independently select required operations and tooling required to achieve desired geometry through various machining processes.
Mount, align and secure work holding, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
Ability to perform required metrology to verify results.
Ability to determine requirements for and manufacturing processes supporting workholding.
Complex shop math calculations work to tight tolerances.
Interpret part drawings and process instructions.
Work with engineering, production, and quality to meet business requirements thru the repair and or fabrication of components for complex assemblies.
Process determination for repair of nonconforming products.
Tooling design and/or fabrication.
Repairs dies, molds, tools and workholding when needed. Disassembles, troubleshoots, repairs and reassembles as needed.
Record information or data describing work performed or defects found.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including required PPE.
Work overtime as required (mandatory at times) by the business.
Maintain established standards of quality, productivity & attendance.
Able to work in a high-volume production environment.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications / Education /Experience:
High School degree or GED Certificate
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Equivalent experience minimum 10 years on the job training.
Machining / Manufacturing experience required.
Certified and proficient in Mastercam and Solid works preferred
Ability to read, Write, understand, and edit G code programming for a variety of CNC machines preferred
Familiar with Mil specifications in the aerospace industry preferred
Familiar with ISO 9000 requirements preferred
Driven and self-motivated, effective verbal and written communicator
Flexible/adaptable in a changing environment
Ability to take constructive feedback on opportunities.
Displays good judgement - quality & safety.
Ability to learn and apply new skills.
Day shift - 7:00 AM 3:30 PM - although this could be modified to earlier (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)
Pay Details: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour
