1 Speech Pathologist - School Program (6-21 years old)
Positions are open to fellows with teaching certifications.
Shift
Full-Time: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
Part-Time: Also available if candidate cannot be Full-Time (whatever hours candidate can work).
No on-call.
No weekends.
100% onsite.
Job Summary
Flexible service delivery model utilized.
Provide developmental speech and language programming for students.
Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions.
Develop receptive and expressive language programs for classroom implementation.
Evaluate and implement augmentative communication systems.
Consult and train staff on therapy techniques and classroom integration.
Assess speech, language, and social development using formal/informal methods.
Collaborate with parents on home programming for language and communication needs.
Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations and goal-setting.
Maintain accurate records and report on student progress.
Evaluate and implement oral-motor/feeding programs for students with disabilities.
Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree (M.A./M.S.) in Speech Pathology.
NY State License.
Special Education background.
2-4 years of related experience and/or training.
If a Clinical Fellow without certifications, must have Teaching Certification.
Preferred:
ASHA certification (CCC).
