Job Description:
The Information Security Systems Engineer will be involved in Information Assurance (IA) related architecture development, CONOPS development, trade studies, requirements analysis and flow down to hardware/software configuration items as well as requirements validation and verification. This position will support embeddment of cryptographic components within tactical radio platforms.
Essential Functions:
Analyze and allocate system security requirements, such as those imposed by NSA, and those under DOD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (RMF), as well as National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) Common Criteria and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) FIPS standards.
Oversee and prepare NSA security certification documents, such as System Evaluation Document (SED), Key and Certificate Management Plan (KCMP), Software/Hardware Requirements and Design Specifications (SHRS/SHDD), Security Verification (SV) Test Plans and Reports, Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) Plans and Reports.
Interact with mechanical, electrical and SW engineers to ensure designs meet security requirements.
Active Secret US Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline with 9 years experience developing embedded software-based engineering solutions, Graduate degree with 7 years. In lieu of degree, minimum 13 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with NIST, FIPS, RMF, or PPP.
Experience with embedded hardware and/or embedded software.
Experience with radio communications or networking.
Experience with security requirements analysis and specification generation.
Proven track record in planning, executing, and tracking personal task assignments.
Experience leading small product development teams and mentoring other engineers.
Experience with emerging security standards and evolution of NSA certification processes.
Experience with certification of secure architectures.
Experience with product certification.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $106,500 - $197,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
