Summary
Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material and assembling work order packages by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities

Checks MRP or ROP reports
Determine if material on hand is of sufficient quantity
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
Types purchase orders and sends copy to supplier and department originating request
Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories
Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid
Prepares purchase orders or bid requests
Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries
Expedites delivery of goods to users
Assembles RFQ packages that may require making prints etc.
Files as necessary
This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
2 year Degree in Business or Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of supply chain purchasing experience preferred.
Experience purchasing commercial and military components desirable.
Microsoft Office proficiency required.
Proficient computer skills including using a mouse, filling in web forms and performing research via Internet/Intranet, printing documents, opening attachments, and other general computer use is required.
MRP experience preferred, with Intuitive helpful.
FileMaker pro experience helpful
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Does not have any supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions within the organization.

Physical Demands *
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to pull handles and push buttons. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

Compensation
$23-$30/hour
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a drug test and background check, and applicants who do not successfully pass both the drug test and background check will not be considered for employment.
