Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting a leading agriculture company in Greensboro, NC in hiring for a contract Lab Assistant.
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is between $21 and 22.45/hr. Hourly wage may depend upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Position Overview:
This unique role combines responsibilities in both chemical warehousing and laboratory environments. Under the guidance of the team lead or senior technician, the Warehouse/Lab Technician will manage chemical samples, handle equipment, fulfill sample requests, and support inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Chemical Sample Fulfillment : Retrieve, mix, and decant chemicals using material handling equipment, labware, and air-powered drum mixers. Includes filling samples from source containers such as drums and Intermediate Bulk Containers.
Sample Packaging : Prepare sample shipments using box assembly, heat sealers, tape machines, and other equipment.
Inventory Management : Process sample shipments, update inventory, and maintain records in inventory management software.
Warehouse/Laboratory Organization : Assist with physical inventories, support organizational projects, and ensure proper workspace arrangement.
Administrative Tasks : Fulfill sample requests, print documents, label samples, manage email communications, and transcribe, scan, and file documents.
Data Management : Compile data, update spreadsheets, assist with customer inquiries, conduct historical record research, and support data management projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Attention to Detail : Strong numerical interpretation skills and the ability to follow precise instructions.
Metric Knowledge : Familiarity with Metric measurements and basic unit conversions.
Communication Skills : Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Safety-Oriented : Strong commitment to safety standards and sample handling requirements.
Physical Requirements : Ability to stand/walk in warehouse/laboratory settings for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds independently. Respirator clearance required.
Equipment Handling : Proficiency with material handling equipment (pallet jacks, drum lifters, dollies, carts) and capability to manage heavy loads.
Education : Associate's degree or higher preferred.
Software Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Additional Preferences : Forklift experience or certification, familiarity with IATA/DOT shipping regulations, and/or Lean manufacturing concepts are advantageous.
Pay Details: $21.00 to $22.45 per hour
