Adecco is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Analyst to handle complex claims analysis, involving high exposure cases with a focus on litigation and rehabilitation. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate adjudication of claims aligned with industry best practices and client requirements. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience, with SIP certification preferred but not required.
Location: Onsite in Long Beach preferred; remote or hybrid options available
Job Type: Temporary Assignment, Full-time
Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims by investigating and determining claim exposure.
Develop and execute action plans for claims management, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Negotiate claim settlements within authorized limits and calculate reserve adequacy.
Authorize and process timely payments, state filings, and claim adjustments as needed.
Oversee the litigation process to ensure cost-effective resolution of claims.
Utilize cost-containment strategies, including vendor partnerships, to minimize claim expenses.
Coordinate recovery efforts such as subrogation, Second Injury Fund claims, and Medicare offsets.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of claim activities and ensure accurate claim coding.
Communicate with claimants and clients, fostering strong professional relationships.
Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Provide other support as assigned and perform necessary travel as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant professional certification a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficiency in relevant insurance principles, claims handling, and cost-containment techniques.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities.
Competency with Microsoft Office and other PC applications.
Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and meet service standards.
Work Environment:
Mental: Requires excellent judgment, problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Physical: Computer work and travel as needed.
Auditory/Visual: Requires good hearing, vision, and communication abilities.
Security Clearance: A background credit check is required.

Pay Details: $50.00 per hour
