Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Specialist to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Investment Development Division, assisting with the coordination and management of various projects within the division. This position will support senior management in ensuring the smooth operation of technical office functions, including document management, project tracking, and reporting. The Technical Specialist will also be responsible for improving the effectiveness of technical processes and systems, providing support on technical package submissions, managing document flows, and maintaining up-to-date project documentation.
What You'll Be Doing:
Provide support to the Director, Manager, and Section Managers within the Investment Development Division, particularly in relation to project documentation, correspondence, progress reports, and technical package submissions.
Use job-related software systems such as EDMS, Moraslat (CTS), and Primavera Unifier for effective project coordination, documentation management, and reporting.
Assist in reviewing project documents and technical reports to ensure compliance with the division’s standards and policies.
Maintain and manage the electronic filing systems for project-related documentation, ensuring proper documentation control and versioning.
Manage document dispatch, transfers, and distribution across relevant departments using the CTS system.
Monitor and update technical project drawings and documentation logs, ensuring all relevant stakeholders have access to the latest project data.
Track and report on the status of project milestones, ensuring proper follow-up with vendors and consultants to ensure timely project delivery.
Assist in coordinating cross-departmental efforts and ensure smooth communication between the Investment Development Division and other departments.
Provide technical support in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as required by senior management.
Track and maintain schedules for technical documentation, ensuring timely updates and proper storage of all relevant files.
Provide any additional administrative and technical support as directed by the Director or Manager of the Investment Development Division.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
15 years of professional experience
Solid experience in managing technical project documentation, including version control, updates, and archiving.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience in preparing technical reports, PowerPoint presentations, and progress tracking documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic language skills are an advantage).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and technical software related to document and project management.
Detail-oriented with a strong ability to organize, track, and manage complex technical documentation.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time-management skills.
Familiarity with Investment Development policies, procedures, and technical standards is desirable.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
