Essential Job Functions
Lead and support major projects and complex assignments with long-term business impact.
Develop strategic technical plans and architecture proposals based on identified solution gaps and business needs.
Serve as a subject matter expert, guiding the planning, design, and implementation of technical solutions.
Conduct research on current and future technologies, providing recommendations for appropriate frameworks and technologies.
Perform MVP's to validate technology selection and solution feasibility.
Develop a cloud infrastructure blueprint
Develop a cloud platform architecture Design
Create detailed cost and time estimates for proposed solutions, defining technical scope and project requirements.
Lead the creation of reusable patterns and standards to accelerate the delivery of business products.
Provide mentorship and technical coaching to engineering project team members.
Ensure compliance with internal standards and enhance them to meet evolving business requirements.
Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, ensuring solutions comply with audit and regulatory requirements.
Represent the team during compliance audits and educate teams on compliance requirements.
Design and implement cloud architectures that support advanced analytics, data science, and operational intelligence.
Develop strategies for cost optimization, financial governance, and efficient resource utilization across cloud environments.
Collaborate with Data Platform Architects, Data Governance Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability of cloud platforms.
Ensure cloud platforms integrate seamlessly across different providers, enabling inter-cloud integration and operations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, a technical field, or a related business field. Equivalent experience, certifications, or training will be considered. Master degree preferred.
5 to 8 years of experience in designing and delivering secure cloud solutions.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
Proficiency with AWS; cloud certifications or accreditations are preferred.
Proven experience in designing solutions for high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Work Environment
Hybrid work model.
Position based in either Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC.
