HOW A PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
A successful candidate will contribute to the Mesospheric Modeling Development/Support for Hypersonic Weapons projects by performing the following tasks:
Update FNMOC NAAPS dissemination code to Air Force to include GRIB2 formatted NAVGEM T681L143 analysis and forecasts from ESPC deterministic output.
Update NAVGEM ESPC deterministic code to include GRIB2 conversion of analysis and forecasts (NRL will help with development of GRIB2 conversion code).
Update FNMOC Global Telecommunications System (GTS) observation feed to include meteor radar observation feed.
Update NAVGEM ESPC deterministic code to allow for reading in meteor radar BUFR observations for assimilation (NRL will help with development of assimilation code patch).
Experience in the following computer languages and/or analysis tools is expected: Linux (including shell scripting), FORTRAN, Python, GitHub.
Will work directly with government employees and contractors to ensure assigned projects are successfully completed on-time.
On-site face-to-face performance is required at the customer's site in Monterey, California.
Project plans, Concepts of Operations, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Integrated Master Plans, Integrated Master Schedules, Transition Plans, and Program Management Plans, as well as technical and executive presentations and briefs that incorporate these plans.
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university which provides substantial knowledge of the information sciences.
Required Experience:
Eleven years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required project management and IT proficiency levels.
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMI)
Required Technical Skills:
IT Project Management
Security Clearance Level : Secret
Required Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional communications and leadership skill. The ability to smoothly guide a project as requirements change.
Preferred Skills:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

The likely salary range for this position is $119,000 - $161,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
