BAE Systems is looking for a motivated, experienced Software Engineer who is eager to learn geospatial technologies. You will bring your strong technical background to our agile environment, working through the full software development lifecycle as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will work in friendly collaboration with a talented team of on-site engineers to deliver high-quality software applications. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with platforms and mission applications for intelligence and defense customers with domain emphasis on Geospatial Intelligence, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), and Mission Management.
Responsibilities:
Engage in full software lifecycle activities, including requirements, design, development, and test.
Bring your collaborative self to work full-time on-site and have fun in-person with your team.
Utilize complex geospatial concepts to design and code robust technical solutions.
Work in a legacy software environment with parallel modernization efforts.
Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring customer-focused, timely deliveries.
Participate in mentorship opportunities and sharing your knowledge with team members.
Present and participate in software design reviews, demonstrating your expertise in object-oriented C# architecture.
Present technical solutions to program management.
Contribute to DevSecOps practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary software and systems teams to ensure seamless functionality and user experience.
Work with Product Management and customers for feedback.
Collaborate with other contractors on design and integration of software applications.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
US Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance and ability to be granted a TS/SCI security clearance by the Federal Government
Bachelor s degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 6 year(s) related experience in C# or C .
Highly proficient in software design, architecture, and multi-threading on Windows.
Software configuration management tools (e.g., Azure, Git).
Software development tools and services experience (e.g., Visual Studio).
Automated test and tools mindset and experience.
Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive and communicative in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Highly proficient in the C# and Java programming languages on both backend and frontend.
Security Certification.
Strong understanding of SOAP and REST interfaces.
Scripting and common formats (e.g., PowerShell, JSON, XML).
Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL database design and development.
Algorithm mindset and development.
Experience with agile development and methodologies (e.g., SAFe)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $109120 - $185460
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
