Software Developer
GDIT is seeking a Senior Software Developer to help support our Command and Control Decision Support (C2EDS) program. A SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED
As a Senior Software Developer , you will work for our C2EDS program, based in San Diego, CA to collaboratively modernize, build and deliver Client-side and Server-side, highly available, scalable systems. You will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle of a mission critical product including design, documentation, coding and unit testing. The right candidate will be working with our team to support the modernization of a complex suite of data processing services and the internationalization of a client-side plugin.
This position can be performed remotely.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Work within a fast-paced Agile DevOps team contributing and collaborating within your scrum team
Analyze software requirements and provide solutions
Perform analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions
Ensure software passes and completes stages within a CI pipeline
Write automated tests as necessary
Work with others on product teams to develop solutions to hard problems that are impeding progress
Effectively communicate technical challenges, options considered, and the recommended solution to team leads
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant Software Development experience.
Proficient in JAVA
Experience interacting with Postgres databases using JAVA
Experience using third party SDKs
Experience writing automated test such as unit and integration tests
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience working with software developers, analysts, and other project team members using Agile SCRUM methodology
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with secure development, coding, scanning using tools such as SonarQube
Experience with Jira or a similar project management tool
Experience with Bitbucket or Git
Experience with both Windows and Linux environments
Experience with Ant, Maven and Eclipse

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
