BAE Systems is looking for a motivated, experienced Senior Software Engineer and functional manager who is eager to learn geospatial technologies. You will bring your strong technical background to our agile environment, working through the full software development lifecycle as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will work in friendly collaboration with a talented team of on-site engineers to deliver high-quality software applications. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with platforms and mission applications for intelligence and defense customers with domain emphasis on Geospatial Intelligence, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), and Mission Management.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
US Citizenship with an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Bachelor s degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 10 year(s) related experience in Java.
Experience in front end development using technologies such as React and Leaflet
Familiar with software factories such as NGA Core or Platform 1
Understand deployment of complex systems utilizing tools like docker, docker compose, Kong, kubernetes, and Keycloak
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using gitlab pipelines integrated with deployment to openshift
Technical management experience as a scrum master or IPT Lead
Involvement in Career development of junior engineers and managing performance of multiple engineers
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Highly proficient in Spring
Security Certification.
Strong understanding of REST interfaces and documenting interfaces using Swagger
Scripting and common formats (e.g., PowerShell, JSON, XML).
PostgreSQL database design and development..
Experience with agile development and methodologies (e.g., SAFe)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
