Summary This SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position, is located in the Army National Guard (ARNG) Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, Plans Policy and Readiness Branch and is part of the CA JFHQ Logistics. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE TEMPORARY PROMOTION NOT TO EXCEED ONE YEAR Selectee may be non-competitively promoted permanently if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. Selectee may be non-competitively extended up to 5 years if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2003-11, is to develop command logistics guidance and support plans for federal and state missions. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Qualifications General Experience: Must possess experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; Experience using computer and automation systems. SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2003-11: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-10 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by: Training/supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions; Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
