Job Description:
As a Mid-Level Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our backend systems, including our Golang Teamcenter libraries and NX ufunc libraries. You will also manage and enhance our microservices infrastructure while contributing to web development tasks as needed. This role requires a self-driven individual who is proactive in staying current with emerging technologies and can participate in efforts effectively with a small team of developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance Golang Teamcenter libraries and NX ufunc libraries.
Develop the upkeep and management of microservices within our technology stack.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with web applications.
Guide and mentor a small group of developers on various projects
Personally, maintaining some self-driven or time driven projects.
Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API integrations and microservices.
Contribute to the design and architecture of scalable and efficient backend systems.
Advocate and arbitrate with the team for best design based on requirements defined to be met.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Experience in software development with a focus on backend systems.
Proficiency in Golang, C#, JavaScript, and Vue, or equivalent languages.
Familiarity with PLM tools and CAD/CAM systems.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a team and share knowledge.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Existing DoD Security Clearance of Secret or above which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Utilization of and understanding of differences in PDM and complex PLM philosophies as it is applicable to business use cases with a push towards PLM
Experience with integrating disparate tools into a PLM suite such as Simulations, Requirements Management, MBSE, or “unique space” and be comfortable explaining what was required in detail.
Utilization of and development for Teamcenter RAC with Active Workspace experience
Experience and hands on exposure for working with large data migrations/transforms.
Aptitude in working directly with infrastructure/architecture across various virtualization platforms
Comfort in uncharted digital territories with results delivery as it applies to business need.
