Position Title: Senior Platform Engineer Scrum Master

As a Senior Platform Engineer Scrum Master, you will herald a transformative era in software engineering, one that underscores the integration of development and operations through a single, comprehensive platform. Platform engineers, with their comprehensive technical and problem-solving skills, are shaping the future of software development to efficiently deliver high-quality, secure software, by providing automated services that enable SW engineers to focus on developing mission capabilities.
The role's core responsibility will be as a scrum master for an agile platform product team in charge of the team's agile cadence to include running scrum meetings, sprint reviews, PI planning, and agile metrics. Additionally, you will help with the design and implementation of the platform. You will be on a team that is responsible for development and operational environments consisting of a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware. These environments provide the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset.
NOTE: This position will be onsite in the RTX Facility in Aurora CO.
What You Will Do:
Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructure
Eliminate impediments that may arise to keep the team focused on their objectives
Assist the product owner in backlog grooming and agile scrum event preparations
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions
Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise VMware computing environments
Leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management
Ensure security and compliance are integrated into the platform
Provide operational support for the platform
Qualifications You Must Have:
A current transferable TS/SCI issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services
Experience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker
Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems
Qualifications We Prefer:
Great communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with various teams
Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe)
Experience with programming/automation/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go)
Experience with VMware
Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CICD Pipelines tools (E.g. Jira, Confluence, Bit Bucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab)
Experience with automation frameworks such as Chef, Puppet, and Ansible
Knowledge of secure coding practices such as OWASP, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation
Experience with scanning tools (E.g. Nessus, Fortify, Anchore)
Multi-disciplined infrastructure experience with compute, networks, storage, and virtualization
Experience developing, testing & delivering applications w/in a DevSecOps framework
Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration
Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days
Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) poly for purposes of Privilege User Access

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
