Summary About the Position: Serve as Operations Officer responsible for organizational policies and procedures for establishing and managing operational and administrative support requirements for field research activities in general and direct support of the U.S. Army Research Institute (ARI) for the Behavior and Social Sciences' research mission. Responsible for independently planning and coordinating tasks/projects requiring Army unit and Soldier support/participation world-wide. Responsibilities Interface directly with Army command/unit leaders and research scientists to formulate and coordinate Army-wide access to units and Soldiers for Army Research Institute's (ARI) comprehensive data collection and research mission. Provide basic staff guidance for organizational legal and Operations Security review requirements. Coordinate with researchers on projected troop support requests for future research requirements. Compile baseline information to support development of an ARI-wide troop support plan and requirements task document to accommodate research objectives. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Coordinating and assembling composite Soldier support/requirement plans for data collection activities; 2) developing command/Soldier tasking/requirement documents for each requested or projected supporting command/unit; 3) coordinating the execution of unit/Soldier support requirements tasked to military commands/units; 4) and managing operational requirements/functions (e.g., Operational Security officer, technical publication release/clearance review, employee training/orientation programs, alternate billing official).
