Title:
Data Scientist
KBR is seeking a highly qualified Data Scientist to provide support for the NRO Mission Operations Directorate (MOD). MOD o perates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.
Responsibilities:
Ability to work with the unknown by using more advanced data techniques to make predictions of future outcomes.
Use of automating ML algorithms or designing predictive modeling processes than can manipulate both structured and unstructured data.
Tasks may include: gathering, cleaning, and processing raw data; designing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to mine big data sets
Developing tools and processes to monitor and analyze data accuracy
Building data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports
Writing programs to automate data collection and processing.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in STEM or related quantitative science field
3-5 years of experience addressing data uncertainty by using more advanced data techniques to make predictions about the future.
Ability to automate machine learning algorithms or design predictive modeling processes that can address both structured and unstructured data.
Ability to gather, clean, and processing raw data
Ability to design predictive models and machine learning algorithms to mine big data set
Ability to develop tools and processes to monitor and analyze data accuracy; building data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports; writing programs to automate data collection and processing.
A ctive TS/SCI with CI polygraph
Basic Compensation: $113,520.00 - $170,280.00
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
