What You'll Get to Do:
Build a thorough understanding of annotation guidelines and annotation tools
Annotate natural language data accurately within deadlines, adhering to guidelines
Dive deep into the data to perform qualitative error trend analysis
Collect and organize data according to criteria
Manage unique data collection and analysis requests for different NLP/NLU applications
Collaborate with other ML Data Linguists to resolve data ambiguities and annotation disagreements
Provide feedback to Language Engineers on annotation guidelines, tooling, and processes to drive improvements
More About The Role:
Serve as a computational linguistic expert responsible for leading and managing data analytical and linguistics research project to analyze users' utterances and improve the Natural Language Processing (NLP) model of the virtual assistant. Annotate user data and create detailed customer performance reports to provide strategic insights, directional approach, and identify gaps or issues. Troubleshoot and resolve false positives to train the language model enhancing user experience. Analyze customer requirements and identify new features and content to be created within the department. Conduct cross-functional collaboration with all stakeholders to maximize matching accuracy in customer environments. Collaborate with the Artificial Intelligence engineering team to continue to deliver ground-breaking innovations.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
An active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, Computer Science with Linguistics focus, or equivalent discipline
10 years of demonstrated experience delivering real-world software solutions using Natural Language Processing, machine translation, or other related disciplines
Demonstrated experience with modern programming and scripting languages is required, with preference to Java, C#, C++, PERL, and Python
Knowledge of structural aspects of languages (morphology, syntax, semantics, phonology, phonetics).
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to handle priorities are critical
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience working in a DoD Contracting Environment
Experience with supporting a DoD or IC
Experience developing high-quality briefings for senior Federal Government leadership
Strong implementation skills (Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB or other prominent programming language)
Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating system
Experience in government funded projects and/or experience successfully interacting with government or commercial customers is beneficial

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$119,800 - $263,600
