Overview: S4 Inc. employees selected for this position will be supporting USSTRATCOM JEMSO missions in order to provide the JEMSO Director with Planning, Analysis, Spectrum Management, and Intelligence support. In addition, S4 employees will support Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for JCER to accomplish Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO) readiness evaluations.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronics engineering, with expertise in advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts. The EW Engineer will be responsible for applying experimental theories and new applications to complex issues, providing technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment. This role requires an individual who can effectively communicate technical information and work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply advanced engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to project execution and advisory services.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to apply experimental theories and new applications to technical issues.
Provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment.
Test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment.
Ensure the effective application of engineering practices and procedures to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management.
Devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for systems.
Assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes, and recommend improvements.
Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing.
Work professionally with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies to achieve project goals.
Required Experience:
In-depth knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment.
Experience in conducting assessments and evaluations to apply experimental theories and provide technical advice for weapon systems and support equipment.
Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment for testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation.
Understanding of engineering practices and procedures related to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management, including acquisition regulations and practices.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for systems, and assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information accurately and clearly.
Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate effectively with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
Professional engineering degree (Bachelor's or higher) from an accredited institution in Electronics Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
