Overview:
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) provides comprehensive and dedicated support to the Navy of research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems and fleet support. Additional support for professional and operational support services is required as NSWCDD continues to provide the military with testing and certification by utilizing its Potomac River Test Range in Dahlgren, VA and provides fleet support at NSWCDD Dam Neck which is located in Virginia Beach, VA.
Job Summary:
P rovide Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) support on behalf of NSWCDD .
Education and Experience:
Six (6 ) years related experience, with at least four (4 ) years of experience in one or more of the following:
financial audit
analysis
Government travel policy and administration
civilian pay and leave policy and administration
assessing program compliance with Financial Management Regulations (FMR)
financial and accounting transactions
program cost analysis.
Essential Duties:
P rovide support for Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) by doing policy research and analysis, attending FIAR meetings at various organizational levels, taking meeting minutes, conducting FIAR testing and analysis, drafting documentation required to support the Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP), drafting process or other FIAR related documentation, maintaining SOPs, and other FIAR related tasking
P rovide Financial Systems support including, providing analysis, making recommendations, running reports, drafting recommendations, drafting SOPs and reconciling data from financial management systems and tools
D evelop, maintain and provide analysis for data and knowledge management tool to support financial management
R esearch, analysis, and provide feedback in support of the department records management program.
R eview the department file plan, record labeling, physical storage, electronic storage
P rovid e administrative support in the records management systems to meet department records management requirements.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
D emonstrated ability to apply current DoD and Navy financial and administrative directives to Navy programs.
