Bennett Aerospace Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Engineer in Washington, DC.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide engineering and scientific subject matter expertise to better inform S&T investment decisions, technology maturation, and transition readiness. These areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: artificial intelligence and autonomy; quantum technologies; kinetic and non-kinetic weapons; electronic warfare spectrum dominance; cyber; and hypersonics.
Perform cross-discipline technology scouting activities to identify existing and emerging technologies that correspond to customer needs and/or provide a technological advantage to the warfighter; leverage government, industry, academia, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, and University Affiliated Research Center networks to identify these technologies.
Provides technical continuity required in the development of the program.
Exercise a high degree of originality and sound judgement in formulating, evaluating, and correlating broad engineering/scientific concepts, guiding the analysis of unique problems, and developing new and improved techniques and methods.
Interpret, organize and execute projects concerned with unique or controversial items having a major effect on the programs.
Apply intensive and diverse knowledge to problems and makes independent decisions.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in professional engineering (from an American Board for Engineering and Technology [ABET] accredited [www.abet.org] educational program) or a relevant scientific/technical degree (Including Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, Mechanical, Nuclear)
6 years' additional work experience relevant to labor category's functional description may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree
Over ten (10) years' experience performing work related to engineering
Must have knowledge of principles, practices and theories of engineering fundamentals with the ability to identify and mitigate design, production and test deficiencies.
