Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Hydrology & Wet Utilities Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to review and evaluate consultant submittals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements for effective hydrological and utility system design within the EPMO framework.
What you'll be doing:
Review & Evaluation: Review and assess submittals from consultants related to hydrology and wet utilities, ensuring they comply with local regulations, project requirements, and industry standards.
Technical Oversight: Provide expert advice on hydrological modeling, drainage design, stormwater management, sewerage, and water supply systems.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure all designs and submittals adhere to regulatory frameworks, environmental policies, and project guidelines.
Consultant Coordination: Act as a liaison between the entity and external consultants, ensuring that all designs, reports, and calculations are accurate and meet project specifications.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of technical documents, including drainage and water utility reports, drawings, and calculations, ensuring the quality and accuracy of all submissions.
Project Management Support: Work closely with the EPMO to provide insights on timelines, resource allocation, and project progress, and assist in troubleshooting design challenges.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential issues in submittals and designs, proposing effective solutions to minimize project risks related to hydrology and utilities.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, review feedback, and maintain documentation for all submittals, revisions, and approvals for compliance and audit purposes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, project managers, government agencies, and stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are met efficiently and within set timelines.
What required skills you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field
13+ years of professional experience in hydrology, water resources engineering, and wet utilities management.
Proven expertise in reviewing consultant submittals and providing technical feedback within large-scale infrastructure or EPMO projects.
Extensive knowledge of stormwater management systems, hydrological modeling, and wet utility design, including sewerage and potable water systems.
Familiarity with international and local regulations, environmental policies, and best practices in hydrology and wet utilities.
Proficiency in software such as HEC-HMS, SWMM, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering tools is highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical documents and drawings.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in liaising with consultants, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary teams.
