Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Supervising Engineer Safety to join our team! In this role you will assists a project or program manager in ensuring that the site-specific SH&E plans, workplaces, and operational tasks being conducted conform to Parsons' risk management practices and comply with the prevailing regulatory and client SH&E requirements. Reports by dotted line to a project or program manager, and reports directly to the Parsons corporate SH&E functional group through a SH&E manager or director.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assists the project or program manager with administering the SH&E programs.
Audits the project or program and its worksites against corporate standards.
Inspects worksites to detect hazard; provides expertise to project personnel to eliminate/control the SH&E risks associated with exposure to the hazards.
Creates and submits written audit and inspection reports.
Monitors project or program work planning and performance; verifies planning and work performance conforms to Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system.
Implements Parsons’ occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
Performs trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports; creates and submits regular analysis reports.
Assists the project or program manager with new hire orientation.
Performs regulatory and best practice SH&E training.
Creates and maintains SH&E training records.
Participates in routine safe work briefings.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field with certification in Occupational Health and Safety, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent.
Proven experience 10 years as a Safety Engineer in construction projects, preferably in industrial or high-tech manufacturing plant construction.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Previous experience with high-tech manufacturing plant construction or similar industrial environments (e.g., semiconductor plants, pharma facilities).
Experience with automated systems and robotics in industrial settings, understanding the unique safety challenges they present.
Knowledge of fire protection systems, emergency response planning, and electrical safety in high-tech environments.
Experience in behavioral safety programs and developing a safety culture on large construction projects.
