Job Description:
Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Lead (Civil & GIS) to join our team!
In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh's new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, contemporary residences, and a monorail in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Review and audit BIM models and drawings within Revit/ Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100-LOD 500.
- Provide expertise in BIM workflows, standards, and best practices and follow up with the consultant to ensure compliance with standards.
- Review GIS deliverables and updated data files within the project life cycle.
- Conduct quality checks on BIM models / GIS shape files to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments to BIM models.
- Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms' efficiency and utilization.
- Utilizes technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies.
- Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required to prepare Landscape drawings.
- Understand how to read orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings.
- Provide ongoing training to existing users for CAD, Revit, infra works, and Civil 3D.
- Assist with creating CAD/BIM standards and their implementation throughout the firm.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.
- Take engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc., and formalize them into working drawings.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or any relevant Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 8+ years of demonstrable experience of BIM/ CAD design production experience in multidisciplinary environment, preferably infrastructure projects
- In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Infraworks, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and Revit, with proficiency in BIM/ CAD processes.
- Experience with BIM/ CAD instruction and training.
- Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good capability in oral and written communication skills.
- Computer skills and the ability to utilize design software are mandatory.
- Has experience in the Clash Detection process using Navisworks.
- Can manage CDE platforms similar to Bim360 , ACC & Procure.
