Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Interior Design (ID) Manager – Luxury Projects to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:1. Interior Design Leadership & Oversight:
Lead the development of interior design concepts for luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
Ensure that all design elements, including layouts, materials, finishes, and furnishings, meet luxury standards and reflect the client’s vision.
Provide strategic leadership to the interior design team, ensuring the seamless delivery of all design phases from concept through construction.
2. Project Coordination & Collaboration:
Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that interior design elements integrate smoothly with the overall project design.
Lead coordination meetings with internal teams and external consultants to resolve design challenges and ensure alignment with luxury standards.
Manage the interface between interior design and other disciplines, ensuring consistency and cohesion across all project elements.
3. Luxury Interior Execution:
Oversee the selection and specification of high-end materials, finishes, fixtures, and custom furnishings, ensuring they align with the luxury project’s design narrative.
Ensure that all interior spaces reflect the unique luxury aesthetics required for each project, balancing functionality and elegance.
Review detailed interior design documentation, drawings, and specifications, ensuring precision and adherence to luxury standards.
4. Quality Control & Design Integrity:
Implement robust quality control processes to ensure that all interior design elements meet the highest luxury and craftsmanship standards.
Regularly review design deliverables, ensuring they comply with the client’s vision, international building codes, and local regulations.
Ensure design integrity is maintained throughout construction and fit-out, coordinating closely with contractors and on-site teams to resolve any design-related issues.
5. Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on all interior design matters, understanding their expectations and ensuring the design exceeds them.
Present interior design concepts, mood boards, material selections, and progress updates to clients, incorporating their feedback while maintaining the integrity of the luxury design vision.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring ongoing collaboration and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Budget & Schedule Management:
Work closely with the project management team to ensure that the interior design aligns with the overall project budget and schedule, without compromising luxury quality.
Prepare and review cost estimates for interior design elements, ensuring selections align with project budgets and financial objectives.
Monitor procurement and delivery of materials, furniture, and finishes to ensure timely completion in line with project milestones.
7. Sustainability & Innovation:
Integrate sustainable and innovative design practices into luxury interiors, ensuring environmentally responsible solutions without sacrificing aesthetics.
Stay updated with global trends in luxury interior design, ensuring the latest innovations and technologies are incorporated into project designs.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Experience:
A minimum of 15-18 years of experience in interior design management, with at least 10 years focused on luxury projects.
Extensive international experience managing large-scale, high-end luxury residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
Strong background working with high-profile clients and delivering interior designs of the highest standards in international markets.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in interior design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other visualization tools.
Strong knowledge of luxury materials, finishes, and bespoke furnishings, including international sourcing and procurement.
Deep understanding of local and international building codes, sustainability practices, and luxury design standards.
Soft Skills:
Excellent leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities, with experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with high-profile clients and senior stakeholders effectively.
A keen eye for detail, with a deep understanding of luxury design aesthetics, craftsmanship, and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification or licensure in Interior Design (e.g., NCIDQ, ASID).
Experience working in a PMC or consultancy environment.
Familiarity with global luxury brands and working with high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial clients.
