For over 80 years, Parsons Corporation has been a leader in the integrated design and delivery of critical infrastructure. We are currently seeking an experienced Supervising Engineer & Sr. Supervising Engineer to join our Parsons New Jersey team. With both conventional and design-build projects, we are looking for strong leaders who can manage projects and mentor a team of engineers and designers.

We’re looking to grow our NJ presence to execute these critical, once-in-a-lifetime projects and you might just be a fit. We are looking for the following Civil Engineering positions for highway geometric design, utilities engineering, MPT design and all aspects of civil/highway work. Positions are hybrid with 2-3 days per week in-person at our Newark, NJ office. For the right candidate, fully remote options may be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Perform complex and significant engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Extract engineering information from CAD drawings and prepare engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Complete a variety of assignments, including drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
- Interface frequently with other engineering disciplines and departments.
- Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
- Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses.
- Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- Provide technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and junior Engineers working on the same project.
- Provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Act in an advisory capacity to senior management on engineering-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) with 12+ years of related work experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration may be required.
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.
- Experience with NYSDOT, PANYNJ, and NYCDOT is a plus.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier, client, or construction site locations as needed.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and management skills.
- Versatile and enthusiastic, with the ability to work in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment.

Salary Range:
