Production Planner

Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 / year
Description
The Production Planner will coordinate, communicate, and expedite the flow of products and materials to and from material suppliers, through internal fabrication, to meet scheduled ship delivery requirements and maintain company's "On Time Delivery" goals.
Key Responsibilities
Use associated production-control related tools, processes, and systems to monitor Products and materials in an efficient and effective manner, to meet schedule commitments.
Investigate, analyze and resolve problem conditions as related to accuracy in work orders on make items.
Review order due date schedules to determine priorities and regulate and direct material flow, by generating production starts, making lot-size adjustments, addressing material shortages, changing work orders, etc., to meet delivery requirements of the Business Key Performance Indicators (OTD-KPIs.)
Communicating material-flow in-process schedules and completion status updates to business partners.
Create/monitor status reports for customer orders.
Coordinate material needs with stock room and purchasing.
Confirm material supply/demand (shorts).
Advanced computer skills are required.
Good judgement, initiative and independent action are necessary to ensure production accuracy and to prevent and eliminate shortage conditions.
Will interface with all levels of management in resolving problems concerning over shipments, shortages, engineering changes and traceability.
Ability to perform AS9100 Audits supporting the Quality Area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications & Skills:
Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is required.
Ability to work without MRP tools.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Excellent computer skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline preferred.
Technical Certificate from an accredited educational institution in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2 + years of experience in manufacturing operations field.
Physical Requirements:
Occasional stooping, bending and reaching may be necessary.
Individual must be comfortable sitting for long periods of time.
Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout the facility.
Repetitive motion (using a mouse and/or keyboard).
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The salary for this role is targeted at $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
