Job Responsibilities/Duties

Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C) delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation's largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste.

H2C seeks a motivated Risk Management Engineer/Analyst who will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the H2C Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process at project and program levels through the identification, characterization, and capture of risk information.

*Establish working relationships with Integrated Project Teams including interfacing with Project Managers, Project Controls Specialists, Engineers, Estimators, and the client

*Develop and maintain project and program level risk (threat and opportunity) registers including conduction of workshops to elicit risk information;

Review, analyze, report, and communicate project level and program level risk information;

Ensure risk metrics are kept current and support other risk communications, audits, and functions;

Analyze Baseline Change Requests and Variance reporting, and support development of the associated risk consideration;

Support proposal development through the identification, characterization, handling action development and analysis of risk;

Record project risk data in the Site risk repository EROMS and utilize Risk modeling software to perform Monte Carlo Analysis

Compliance with H2C policies and procedures;

Ensure Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) principles are incorporated into the organization's activities; and

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Grade 14:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Grade 15:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in an Engineering, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or Project Management and one (1) year of related experience

Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

Desired Qualifications

Experience in at least one of the following areas to perform the position successfully: Project Management (Including internal audit, contract management, quality assurance, contractor assurance, and procurement), Construction Management, Project Controls, Project Engineering, Data Analytics, or Risk Management.

Familiarity with project controls activities such as schedule and budget development, risk analysis tools to perform cost and schedule risk analysis, and Systems Engineering principles.

Strong MS Office or similar skills specifically in spreadsheet formulation, pivot tables, and data management.

Solid communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Minimum $74,538

Hiring Range Maximum $103,000
