Adecco is assisting a local client in Cromwell, CT in hiring a CNC Surface Grinding Machinist to work Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM at a pay range between $28.00 and $30.00 per hour. This is a Direct Hire opportunity!
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of metal pieces.
Remove metal using abrasive bonded to form a rotating wheel.
rough and finish flat, cylindrical, and conical surfaces.
Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints.
Determine product specifications including dimensions, tolerances, and number of parts to be ground.
Complete labor tracking by scanning work orders to monitor labor and part quantities.
Collect and assemble required products.
Determine and adjust grinding speeds, feed rates, holding fixtures, and grinding wheels.
Willingness to work overtime.
Qualification:
High school diploma or GED.
At least 5 years of metal grinding experience.
Ability to read and write English.
Advanced math skills.
Must be able to physically lift 35 lbs.
Work Schedule:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Mandatory overtime can extend work hours up to 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday and includes working every other Saturday as needed.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
