Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Test Engineering Intern to join our team! In this role you will get to learn from experienced engineers and work on projects that directly impact the success of our missions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new and existing products.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues using JIRA.
- Collaborate with an operational support team to understand product requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Automate repetitive testing tasks to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on product quality and readiness.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Basic knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript and Python.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Cypress, k6).
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
