Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly capable HR Director to support the Security & Mission Solutions (S&MS) and Threat Reduction & Remediation (TR&R) sectors within the Parsons Engineered Systems (ES) business unit. These sectors are poised for significant growth, including expanding our international presence. This role is perfect for a proactive, hands-on leader who is ready drive impactful HR solutions aligned with our business strategies.
The HR Director will report to the Federal Solutions Senior Vice President of Human Resources and will work closely with the Senior Vice Presidents leading the sectors. The successful candidate will be based in the Washington, D.C. region. While an office will not be assigned, this role requires regular visits to local sites and occasional travel to other locations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including compensation, employee relations, performance management, talent development, organizational design, change management, and more.
Collaborate with business leaders, your HR team, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to provide seamless HR support and guidance to the business.
Assess present and future HR needs, trends, and problems, and identify opportunities and actions to support business growth.
Develop and implement initiatives that focus on enhancing employee experience and/or drive manager engagement with an acute focus on improving overall employee attraction and retention.
Participate in and/or lead HR projects to drive improved alignment of processes, systems, and interdependencies to manage compliance, improve employee engagement, and achieve business expectations.
Leverage HR data analytics to support decision-making, assess best practices, and identify areas for improvement.
Support a variety of business growth activities, including new business proposals, program start-ups, and integration activities for acquisitions within the assigned sector.
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
More than 10 years of progressive and broad HR experience.
Experience in government contracting.
International acumen and experience.
Proven ability to manage a diverse group of human resource professionals.
Ability to provide direction and resolve complex challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work at all levels of the organization.
Ability to inspire trust, confidence, and consensus among diverse teams or stakeholders.
Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.
Action and results-oriented.

Salary Range:
