Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Contract Administrator/Principal Contract Administrator to join our Contracts team in supporting the Advanced Communications Operating Unit based in San Diego, CA. This is a full-time position requiring an ability to work in-office 5 days a week.
What You'll Get to Do:
As a member of the Communications Solutions (CS) Business Unit, the Contract Administrator/Principal Contract Administrator will be responsible for supporting contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide and ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer requirements.
You'll be an embedded member of a large, complex Special Access Program Team, supporting program success and new growth opportunities across the portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely with the Contract Support Group (CSG) to process a moderate to high volume of awards, modifications and maintain contract data in S/4 system.
Developing solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.
Assisting management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.
Preparing written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters
Ensuring timely delivery of contractual deliverables and submission of invoices.
Support contract administration activities from proposal through delivery and order closeout.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for Contract Administrator (A02):
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in contracts or related field - OR - a Master's degree with 1 year of experience in contracts or related field. We will consider 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Detail oriented with ability to gather, organize, and relay information and collaborate in a team environment.
Aptitude for administration of contracts within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Working knowledge of commercial contracting.
Excellent organizational and computer skills with proficiency with MS Office Suite, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office 365) and Adobe.
Current active Secret level security clearance
Must be a US Citizen
Must be cleared to a number of Special Access Programs to start
Have excellent verbal, written, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications Principal Contract Administrator (A03):
Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant directly related experience - OR - a Master's degree and 2+ years of directly relevant experience. We will consider 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Detail oriented with ability to gather, organize, and relay information and collaborate in a team environment.
Current Secret level security clearance
Must be cleared to a number of Special Access Programs to start
Must be a US Citizen
Aptitude for administration of contracts within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Working knowledge of commercial contracting.

Preferred Qualifications for both A02 and A03:
Extensive contracting experience with Domestic Prime customers
Experience with development contracts and IRAD efforts
Recent experience as a Contracts Professional in the defense industry
Strong working knowledge of the FAR, DFAR and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations
Experience with various contract types including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursable, and Time and Material contracts
Familiarity with Northrop Grumman businesses, policies and practices
Strong interpersonal skills

Salary Range: $73,900 - $110,900
Salary Range 2: $91,200 - $136,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
